What?
Rotten Beat is a netlabel and internet radio featuring unusual music. We find and nurture grassroots creativity and bring it to you in an easily accessible form. We are particularly interested in off-beat scenes with an original twist to their music or art.

Why?
We are unimpressed with the commodified tastes and styles of corporate pop-culture, and disappointed with toothless Western underground. What are the alternatives? Have a listen...

How?
We put together featured issues of the amazing stuff we have found, add info so that you can find out more about what you are listening to and throw in some videos too. Wherever possible, you'll be able to download the full album of the artist you like. We've also built a smart music player that you can customise to you can listen to the music of your choice.

Rotten Beat is a place for free music. We believe that music should be played to be heard rather than to be sold. You can listen, watch and download everything you find here free of charge, unless specified additionally. However, please respect artists' work and consult the people who made the music if you want to re-distribute and reuse their work.
