Accordion Punk

Accordion Punk Accordion, or a squeeze box, is a very popular instrument in Russia. It is relatively simple to operate, easy to transport, it is loud enough to overshout local quarrels and fights, and last but not the least - it has a belt which makes it difficult to loose if you want to have a break for another shot of vodka.

THE ZVERSTVO

N.O.M

Ayktsyon

The band was formed in February of 1998 in Saint Petersburg. The first gig in Moloko club surprised the audience with an unusual mix of female punk with folk drive. Eccentric and sharp voice of the singer and quite extraordinary music material of the band made them a name not only in Russia but also abroad where the girls became regular guests at many international folk festivals. Starting with folk-punk the band takes the Russian folk themes further and experiments with a variety of genres from hardcore to free jazz. The band made several videos and released an album Eldyrina sloboda (Eldyrin's place) at a Saint Petersburg indie label Bomba-Piter (Manchester files).
